Let's rock....

My family has always given me grief over the many chairs I've collected over the years.  I can't seem to pass up an old chair, even if it's in need of repair.  I have upholstered, refinished and painted several over the years.  No one seems to complain though when it's time to "sit for a spell".  It's interesting to see who gravitates toward what chairs.
I'll take an "old rocker" over any if given the option.

What would be your chair of choice?

  1. I, too, have a hard time passing up chairs to buy. But I'm not so fond of refinishing. For sitting down and relaxing a bit, though, I'll choose a big soft comfy chair!
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
    Have a great weekend!

I can't pass up child chairs. I have my husbands that he sat in at Sunday school and is very special.

  3. Oh how I love Rockers!
    They are all Wonderful.

  4. Dear Mabel Jane, I also love to find treasures and fix and paint and make it usable again. But as I get a wee bit older I do gravitate to a fluffy rocker:)
But, I also love little childrens chairs. They bring happy memories. But what I would really like one day is to sit a spell and visit.
    Happy Thanksgiving
    Blessings, Roxy

  5. I have an ol' rocking chair my hubby got for me the first year we were married, it's one of my favorite chairs to sit in. It's getting a bit squeaky and wobbily, so I have retired it to my new sewing room. (So, only I can sit in it) I love to find old treasures and making them new and adding my special touch to them.
    Happy Thanksgivng!!!
PS- I love the yellow rocker, what fun!
